Bellatrix
A Working Series
Through my many years of making art I always find myself wandering back to the female form. I feel there is nothing more beautiful and empowering than a confident woman.
A few years ago I began a photo project called Bellatrix, A Series of Female Warriors. Bellatrix came to life when I spent a summer trying to re-connect with myself. I was my first subject in an on going project connecting other women with their inner warrior. Many strong women have posed for this series, applying their own war paint to bring out their inner warrior. Through this series I have learned a lot about what makes women confident and strong in their daily lives whether it be mental or physical strength. Watching each woman’s expression through the process gave me more than just a collection of work; it gave me a feeling of contentment.
Each print in this series will be in editions of 5. Images are printed on canvas using archival grade canvas, canon printers, a protective scratch-resistant UV laminate, and are hand stretched. All works come with hanging materials. All work is signed, dated, and numbered digitally.
